Back, neck and shoulders, unknotted.

Tension relief for back, neck and shoulders. Deep, physical sound that eases a day of sitting, and comfort on the hard days of your cycle.

Deep, physical sound that eases a day of sitting.

Sound familiar?

Tech neck. Desk back. Day three.

You hold the day in your body. Shoulders up from the screen, a lower back that complains after forty-five minutes in the car. A massage cannot outdo eight hours of sitting.

Sitting all day

“It’s become an everyday thing.” The neck and shoulders take it first, the lower back next.

Carrying, standing, driving

“My arms, shoulders, neck, back and knees ache from lifting him.” The body carries the day home.

Hard days of the cycle

“Three or four days of my life out of every 26.” Comfort that is yours, lying down, nothing to swallow.

How it works

Tension is a signal. Give it a new one.

Woojer turns the low end of sound, 1 to 250 Hz, into precise physical sensation. Muscle spindles read it and report less tension, which is why muscles feel looser afterward.

Tension is also stress stored in the body: the clenched jaw, the braced lower back. Researchers track the shift toward rest-and-recover with heart rate variability.

Music, or one pure frequency sent to your shoulders or lower back with the Frequency producer program. Fifteen minutes that works.

The evidence

What researchers measure.

Independent researchers study vibroacoustic sessions, muscle tension and everyday comfort. Here is what they measured.

Practitioner case series · 2024 · Woojer

Comfort on cycle days, in practice.

Obstetrics & Gynecology: Open Access · Dr. Giovanni Peduto, Metodo Frequency

Woojer in the protocol Dr. Giovanni Peduto, Italian kinesiologist and founder of Metodo Frequency, followed about 100 women who wore a Woojer Strap or Vest on the lower abdomen for five 20-minute sessions at a single frequency.

What was measured Self-rated discomfort before and after the series.

What was reported Most reported less discomfort on the hard days of their cycle. A practitioner case series, not a controlled trial.

Broader field · scoping review · 2022

Twenty vibroacoustic studies, mapped.

BMJ Open

What was studied A scoping review of 20 vibroacoustic studies in adults living with ongoing discomfort.

What was reported Most used 40 Hz for 20 to 45 minutes, a band Woojer reproduces. The authors call for larger trials.

Looser muscles.

Journal of Sport and Health Science

What was studied 65 studies, more than 1,100 participants, on what added low-frequency stimulation does to flexibility and passive muscle stiffness.

What was reported Lower passive stiffness and more range of motion than rest, with moderate certainty. Muscles feel looser right after, and the instruments agree.

Good questions

Questions, answered.

Everything people ask before they buy.

Does vibration help with back pain?

The question most people arrive with. Woojer eases muscle tension and soothes tired muscles, and it gives a braced lower back a reason to let go; how much, and how fast, is individual, and most people feel the shoulders and lower back soften within one session. For pain itself, see a clinician first. Woojer is for the everyday tension in between.

Will it help my neck and shoulder pain from desk work?

Tension is where most people notice the change first. Lying on the MAT, the upper zones sit under your shoulders and upper back. The Vest wraps the shoulders for the desk and the sofa, and the Strap gives you a two-minute reset at your desk when the jaw starts clenching.

Do I need music?

No. Woojer works with anything that makes sound, and it works with pure frequencies alone. A tone generator, or the Frequency producer program in Woojer Wellness Premium, sends a single frequency, say 40 Hz, to your shoulders or lower back with nothing to listen to. Music makes it immersive. Pure frequencies make it precise. Headphones keep the room silent either way.

Can I lie on it after a long drive?

Yes. Fifteen minutes on the MAT after the drive is exactly the use. Not while driving: use the Strap at rest stops or on arrival, never at the wheel.

How loud is it for people around me?

The sensation travels through your body, not the room. With headphones the room is silent; without them, people nearby hear at most a soft low hum.

Is it OK to use if I have a bad back?

Ask your doctor or physical therapist first, then start at low intensity and find your level. Woojer is gentle and adjustable, and it is not for injuries.

Does it help with period cramps?

Comfort on the hard days, yes. Lie on the MAT, or wear the Strap flat on the lower abdomen or waist, and let a slow session or a single low frequency do its work. Many women pair it with warmth. Dr. Giovanni Peduto runs five 20-minute sessions at one frequency on the lower abdomen with a Woojer Strap; his case series is in the Science section. For anything beyond everyday discomfort, talk to your doctor.

Is it safe in pregnancy?

Talk to your doctor before using Woojer while pregnant, and follow their advice.

How is it different from a heating pad, massage chair or massage gun?

No heat, no kneading, no motor pounding one spot. Woojer turns the low end of sound into slow, whole-body sensation you feel through your shoulders, hips and legs, or across your chest. Use it alongside heat if you like; it does something different.

Is this the same as a vibrating massage mat with motors?

No. Those run small motors at a fixed buzz. Woojer's OSCI oscillators reproduce the actual low end of the music, 1 to 250 Hz, so the sensation moves with the sound: slow, rolling, musical. It is the physical side of a concert, not a buzz.

Can I wear the Strap at my desk or at work?

Yes. It sits flat under a shirt, weighs about 240 grams (8.5 oz), and is silent to the people around you. A Stress reset between meetings takes two minutes.

How long should I use it after a twelve-hour shift?

Fifteen to twenty minutes on the MAT with your legs over the lower zones. Longer is fine: if you fall asleep, the MAT switches itself off.

Will it hurt if I'm already sore?

It is gentle and adjustable. Start low, find your level, and stop if anything feels wrong. Woojer soothes tired muscles; it does not press, knead or dig.

Does vibroacoustic therapy actually work, or is it just music?

It is music you feel. Low frequencies you normally only hear become physical sensation through your body, and researchers measure the response with heart rate variability, muscle stiffness and range of motion. The studies are above, and in full on our Science page.

Does it replace physical therapy or massage?

No. It is the everyday maintenance in between: fifteen minutes, lying down, as often as you like. Keep your physical therapist and your massage therapist; give them a looser body to work with.
