Meditation for minds that won't sit still.

Meditation and breathwork you can feel. Deep, physical sound keeps a racing mind in the body. Lying down counts.

Meditation and breathwork you can feel.

Sound familiar?

You sat down for calm and turned the volume up.

You have the app and a butterfly mind. Silence does not quiet the noise; it turns it up. So you quit, and feel bad about that too.

I can’t sit still

“I didn’t think it was humanly possible to get me to sit still for one minute.”

Am I doing it wrong?

The mind wanders, so you assume you failed, so you stop. No feedback, only doubt.

The apps all sound the same

“Dozens of meditations, all almost exactly the same.” Another voice, another beach to imagine.

47%

of our waking hours, the mind is somewhere other than where we are.

4.7%

of people who download a meditation app are still using it a month later.

5 min

is a session. Lying down counts. Eyes closed counts. Falling asleep counts.

The breath, made physical.

Slow waves rise and fall through your chest and back, and your breathing finds the rhythm without counting. When the mind wanders, the body is still right there.

Slow waves rise and fall with your breath.

What changes

A practice that finally sticks.

Five to twenty minutes, sitting or lying down.

An anchor you cannot lose

When the mind wanders, the sensation is still there. Come back to it, every time.

Feedback you can feel

You know something is happening because you feel it happening.

Breath with a rhythm

Slow waves set the pace and the breath follows. No counting.

Five minutes counts

Lying down counts. A chair counts. Falling asleep counts.

Your practice, simplified

Three steps. No getting it right.

Nothing to visualize. No posture to hold.

How it works

Feeling beats thinking, for presence.

Woojer turns the low end of sound, 1 to 250 Hz, into precise physical sensation. Interoception, your sense of what happens inside you, gets an anchor stronger than the breath.

In a peer-reviewed trial, only the people whose Woojer followed their own breath breathed more steadily across eight sessions. In a second randomized study, twelve minutes of heartbeat-synced Woojer sharpened how accurately people sensed their own heartbeat. They called it pleasant.

Music, a guided voice, or one pure frequency from the Frequency producer program. The anchor is the same.

“Feeling the bass of music and relaxation frequencies directly through the body creates a much deeper somatic experience than sound alone. The effect is almost immediate.”

The evidence

Where the research on Woojer is strongest.

Two peer-reviewed, randomized studies used a Woojer on the chest. Here is what they measured.

Peer-reviewed RCT · 2025 · Woojer

Find your rhythm: breath pacing, felt physically.

Journal of Anxiety Disorders · Emory University and University of Pittsburgh

Woojer in the protocol 128 adults, eight sessions of breath-focused mindfulness. One group wore a Woojer on the chest, the sensation synced in real time to their own breathing.

What was measured Breathing rate and steadiness across the visits.

What was reported Only the Woojer group breathed more steadily; every other group drifted the other way. Funded by the US National Institutes of Health.

Peer-reviewed RCT · 2024 · Woojer

Twelve minutes of your own heartbeat, felt.

Psychophysiology · Reichman University

Woojer in the protocol 60 adults. Half wore a Woojer on the chest pulsing gently with each heartbeat for twelve minutes; half watched the same feedback on a screen.

What was reported Only the felt group sensed their heartbeat more accurately and shifted attention toward the body. They rated it more pleasant and more helpful.

Broader field · lab study · 2023

Slow breathing, paced by touch.

Sensors

What was studied 32 students breathed slowly for five minutes, guided by a visual cue or a felt cue.

What was reported Heart-rhythm coherence, the signature of slow, even breathing, was roughly twice as high with the felt guide.

Independent research, cited in full on our Science page.

From the research

“Real-time haptic feedback might be a superior approach for strengthening the mind-body connection in interventions for physical and mental health.”

Dobrushina, Tamim, Wald, Maimon and Amedi, Psychophysiology, 2024. The study used a Woojer on the chest.

Good questions

Questions, answered.

Everything people ask before they buy.

How do I meditate when my mind is racing?

Give it something physical to hold. A racing mind cannot stay with a breath it cannot feel, so Woojer makes the breath felt: slow waves on the chest set the pace, and attention has somewhere to rest that is not a thought. When it wanders, come back to the sensation. It is always there.

I can't meditate. Will this actually help me focus?

It is built for exactly that. Instead of asking you to watch your breath and failing when the mind wanders, Woojer gives you a physical anchor you cannot lose. When attention drifts, the sensation is still there to come back to.

Can I use it with Headspace, Calm or Insight Timer?

Yes. Play any guided meditation, sound bath or frequency track through Woojer and feel it. The free Woojer Wellness app has its own Meditation sessions too, with no subscription.

Do I have to sit still or cross-legged?

No. Lie on the MAT, sit in a chair with the Vest, or stand at your desk with the Strap. Lying down counts. The body scan was always meant to be done lying down.

How loud is it for people around me?

The sensation travels through your body, not the room. With headphones the room is silent; without them, people nearby hear at most a soft low hum.

Can you meditate lying down?

Yes, and for many people it is the only way they can. The MAT turns lying down into a full-body practice; if you fall asleep, that is a sign your body needed it, and the MAT switches itself off.

Can I use it for breathwork?

Yes. The Vest and Strap sit on the chest, where breath is felt most. Slow waves give you a rhythm to breathe with instead of a count to keep. Peer-reviewed research with a Woojer on the chest found breath-synced vibroacoustic sensation helped people breathe more steadily.

How long is a session?

Five minutes is a session. Woojer-tuned sessions run from five to thirty minutes, and most people feel the shift within ten.

Will it make me sleepy when I want to focus?

Choose the session for the moment. Focus sessions settle you without slowing you down; Sleep sessions carry you off. Intensity is yours either way.

Do I need music?

No. Woojer works with anything that makes sound, and it works with pure frequencies alone. A tone generator, or the Frequency producer program in Woojer Wellness Premium, sends a single frequency, say 40 Hz, through your body with nothing to listen to. Music makes it immersive. Pure frequencies make it precise. Headphones keep the room silent either way.

Isn't using a device cheating?

It is a tool, like a cushion, a timer or a guiding voice. Use it to learn what settled feels like, and practice without it whenever you like.

What does it actually feel like?

Like the deep end of a cello felt through your whole body: slow, rolling waves rather than a buzz. People describe it as being held, as a purr, as a sound bath you are inside. Intensity goes from barely there to unmistakable.

Does vibroacoustic therapy actually work, or is it just listening to music?

It is music you feel. Low frequencies you normally only hear become physical sensation, and researchers measure the response with heart rate variability, breathing steadiness and brain activity. Two peer-reviewed randomized studies used a Woojer on the chest for breath and heartbeat awareness.

Is it suitable for complete beginners?

Beginners are exactly who it is for. There is nothing to learn and nothing to get right. Sit or lie down, press play, follow the feeling.
