Train hard. Recover lying down.

Post-workout recovery, lying down. Deep, physical sound that soothes tired legs and switches you from go mode to rest mode.

Sound familiar?

Day two. The stairs.

Legs cooked, back tight. You own the roller and the gun. Both need effort at the exact moment you have none left.

Heavy legs

“My legs were cooked.” Dead legs that will not come round for tomorrow.

Recovery is work

“OMG this hurts, but after is nice.” Every tool needs attention.

Tools that quit

“It stopped charging right when the warranty ended.” Batteries die, boots need you zipped in.

Like the whole body exhaling after the last rep.

Low, rolling waves through calves, hamstrings, hips and back. The legs stop buzzing. You get up looser than you lay down.

How it works

From go mode to rest mode, measurably.

Woojer turns the low end of sound, 1 to 250 Hz, into precise physical sensation. Muscle spindles read it and report less tension, which is why muscles feel looser afterward.

Recovery is a nervous-system switch. Researchers track it with heart rate variability, and low-frequency stimulation after exercise helps heart rate settle faster.

Music, or one pure frequency from the Frequency producer program. Lie down and let the body do the rest.

“Awesome- for my usage, which is just messing around, Woojer is freaking fire!!! Have yet to try during hardcore exercise, since I got dope headphones at the same time as woojer. ADVICE- stick with your regular headphones for woojer, and look into workout stuff that can plug into the product wirelessly.”

The evidence

What researchers measure.

Independent researchers study low-frequency stimulation and the body’s return to rest. Here is what they measured.

Broader field · lab study · 2022

Calming vibroacoustic sessions after hard cycling.

European Journal of Applied Physiology · University of Pittsburgh

What was studied 22 athletes after hard cycling, with wearable low-frequency stimulation. Each rated how calming it felt.

What was measured Heart rate variability during recovery.

What was reported The stimulation each athlete found most calming came with higher parasympathetic heart rate variability, a marker of recovery.

Broader field · randomized crossover · 2021

Low frequencies after exercise, and a heart that settles faster.

Journal of Sports Science and Medicine

What was studied 19 adults, a step test, then ten minutes of low-frequency stimulation to the lower body at 5 Hz, 15 Hz, or none.

What was reported Heart rate recovered faster and the nervous system shifted toward rest, clearest at 15 Hz. Both frequencies sit inside Woojer’s range.

Broader field · meta-analysis · 2025

Looser muscles.

Journal of Sport and Health Science

What was studied 65 studies, more than 1,100 participants, on what added low-frequency stimulation does to flexibility and passive muscle stiffness.

What was reported Lower passive stiffness and more range of motion than rest, with moderate certainty.

Good questions

Questions, answered.

Everything people ask before they buy.

Does vibration help muscle recovery?

Independent research links vibroacoustic sensation after exercise with less next-day soreness, lower muscle stiffness and a faster return to rest; the studies are above. Woojer is the lie-down version: fifteen minutes of low, rolling waves through calves, hamstrings, hips and back, with nothing to hold or roll.

Does the Woojer MAT help with sore muscles after a workout?

It soothes tired muscles, eases the tension a hard session leaves behind, and switches the body from go mode to rest mode. Independent research links vibroacoustic sensation with less next-day soreness and a faster return to rest after exercise; the studies are in our Science section.

Is it like a massage gun?

No, and that is the point. A gun drills one spot and needs you to hold it. Woojer is whole-body, low-frequency and passive: you lie on the MAT or wear the Vest or Strap, and the sensation moves through you. Use it for the lie-down end of the routine; keep targeted tools for targeted work.

Can I use it just on my legs?

The MAT has zones under the shoulders, hips and legs, so you feel it most where your weight is: lie further down the MAT and the legs get the most. The Strap sits on the chest or waist, not on the legs. Woojer is not a spot tool.

How loud is it for people around me?

The sensation travels through your body, not the room. With headphones the room is silent; without them, people nearby hear at most a soft low hum.

How soon after a run or ride should I use it?

Whenever you lie down: straight after the shower, or that evening. A fifteen-minute session is the cool-down you do horizontally.

Should I use it on rest days too?

Yes. Rest days are when the body does the rebuilding, and a Relaxation or Recovery session is a good way to actually rest instead of just not training.

Will it help heavy legs from standing all day?

Twelve hours on your feet leaves the same heavy, buzzing legs as a long run. Lie on the MAT with your legs over the lower zones and let the session do its work.

Can I combine it with compression boots or foam rolling?

Yes. Roll or stretch first, then lie down. Woojer is the passive part of the routine, the part you were skipping because it needed effort.

Will it die after the warranty, like my massage gun?

Every Woojer carries a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The MAT runs from the outlet, so there is no battery to wear out; add the MAT Power Bank and it goes anywhere for up to eight hours. The Vest and Strap run up to 10 hours per charge.

Can I use it before bed on training days?

Yes. Many people do: a Recovery session for the legs, then straight into a Sleep session. If you drift off on the MAT, it switches itself off.

Do I need music?

No. Woojer works with anything that makes sound, and it works with pure frequencies alone. A tone generator, or the Frequency producer program in Woojer Wellness Premium, sends a single frequency, say 40 Hz, through your body with nothing to listen to. Music makes it immersive. Pure frequencies make it precise. Headphones keep the room silent either way.

What if I have an injury?

Woojer is not for injuries. See a physical therapist or doctor first. Do not use Woojer if you have a pacemaker or any implanted electronic or mechanical device.

Does vibroacoustic therapy actually work, or is it just music?

It is music you feel. Low frequencies you normally only hear become physical sensation through your body, and researchers measure the response with heart rate variability, muscle stiffness and soreness scores. The studies are above, and in full on our Science page.
